Reflections on the day
Cirra and her mum spent more than 500 hours making her wedding dress, sewing every bead on by hand. It glistened every time the light hit it.
We met on a styled shoot where she was the stylist, and became friends after a picnic where she’d made sure all the food was safe for my allergies. That sums her up.
Theirs was the first wedding I photographed under my own business, and it meant so much that they trusted me right at the beginning.
They married at The George Ballroom before moving to Rippon Lea Estate, where Campbell and I had our first-anniversary picnic ten years earlier. When the reception doors opened, the whole bridal party performed a choreographed Bridgerton-inspired dance. I’d never seen anything like it at a wedding.
