Reflections on the day
Drew and I went to school together and caught the same bus home every day. Nobody could sit further back than the year above them, and when I was in Year 11, Drew let me sit right in front of the Year 12s. In school-bus terms, that was a high honour.
Years later, a mutual friend passed my name on when Drew and Amy were looking for a photographer. It always feels extra special when someone from my past trusts me with something this important.
The morning was sunny and warm at Drew’s, surrounded by the nieces and nephews he adores. Then, on the drive to Amy’s, the sky completely opened. Somehow Mother Nature listened, and by the ceremony the sun was back out for the garden ceremony Amy had pictured.
Drew clearly adores Amy, and they finished the night with a sparkler exit that went up and down three times.
